Bac Ha market is a weekend market of the minority people living in the North of Vietnam. The markets have been taking place for many years, and are a must-see when traveling to this region. The market draws locals from 10 ethnic minority groups around Bac Ha. They come here to exchange goods, buy & sell food or agricultural tools, or simply use it as an occasion to meet & share a meal together, after a hard week of working in the isolation of their mountain villages. Market day is a special time for everyone in a family to go out. All people wear their newest clothes & costumes when going to the markets.
