Topas Ecolodge & Remote village trekking

The newly developed Topas Eco-lodge is located 18 km from Sapa, deep in the Hoang Lien Mountains. The 25 lodges overlook the entire valley with the ethnic minority villages of Ban Ho and Than Phu 400 metres below you.

Your journey will start from Hanoi with the soft sleeper night train to Lao Cai. Once in Lao Cai, your driver will take you to the mountain town of Sapa (1550 m), and then straight to the Topas Eco-lodge. Here breakfast will be ready for you in the restaurant, as well as your private bungalow. From the eco-lodge you will start a 3 day trek to the local villages of Ban Ho, Thanh Phu, and Sin Chai. You will experience the daily life of the Red Dao, Tay and Xa Pho ethnic minorities.

This package has been carefully designed to give you the opportunity to enjoy the best of the local scenery, people & culture of North Vietnam. Explore the deep valleys, savour the view of the breathtaking mountains, and learn up close how the ethnic communities of this unspoiled corner of Vietnam live.

Day 1

Depart from Hanoi with Tulico or Ratraco night train.

Day 2

Arrive at Lao Cai train station. Transfer to Sapa and onto the Topas Eco-lodge, where you will stay overnight. All meals included.

Day 3

Start your day of trekking by heading to the valley below the Eco-lodge. You will stay overnight in the Red Dao village of Sin Chai B. All meals included.

Day 4

You will trek to Nam Sai and Nam Keng villages, before arriving at the Ban Ho Village for a home stay in a traditional Tay house. All meals included.

Day 5

You will trek back to the Topas Eco-lodge, where you will have the rest of the day to shower, relax and enjoy the amazing views from you balcony.

Day 6

Transfer from Topas Eco-lodge to Sapa. In the late afternoon you will transfer to Lao Cai for the night train back to Hanoi. Breakfast included.

Day 7

Arrive early in the morning at Hanoi.
